The EPCC architecture lecture series kicks off again this Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. The first speaker is a good friend of the associates, Fred Dalbin, AIA. On thursday he will be speaking on "Building Conservation and Adaptive Re-use." The lectures will be held in the auditorium of the main library downtown, 501 n. oregon. Principal at Wright & Dalbin Architects El Paso, Texas
Frederic P. A. Dalbin, RA NCARB, AIA, has served as principal architect for Wright & Dalbin Architects, Inc. for the last 23 years. Currently, he is the president of Eco El Paso, a non-profit organization, recently created that organize a full day conference on sustainable and green design, construction and management in an arid and hot climate. As past president of the American Institute of Architects El Paso Chapter 2008, he is currently the chair of the chapter’s Committee on the Environment.
Frederic Dalbin as a principal of Wright & Dalbin Architects has designed and managed numerous projects from site master planning to new buildings and renovations or additions to existing structures. The scope of the work included site surveys and investigations, programming, zoning code, building code and cost analysis, materials and methods, scheduling, bidding and negotiating, construction administration and management services.
When the El Paso International Airport underwent extensive renovation, Mr. Dalbin was awarded the contract for the design of all retail and restaurant concessions. Two of the concessions won national awards from the North American Association of International Airports in 1999. He was the project architect for the new Rubin Center for the Visual Arts at UTEP which won the 2004 Honor Award from the El Paso Chapter of American Institute of Architects.We'll be posting additional lectures on the monday of each week they happen, so stay tuned to the blog.
